Thank you for your interest in Beaufort County 4-H!

4-H is a youth development organization that serves children aged 5-18 all over the country.

There are many ways to get involved. Two of the main ways in Beaufort County:

1. Joining/Starting a 4-H Club
Clubs meet formally once a month and they choose to have other activities to be involved in throughout the month. Joining/Starting a club is a great way to create lasting friendships and have a positive relationship with a caring, trusted adult. Clubs focus on citizenship, leadership, and community service. At each club meeting, they start out with a business meeting, have an educational component, and a social/recreation component.
We have four 4-H Clubs in the county and are looking to start more.
  • Bath Creek 4-H Club that is a livestock focused club that meets in Bath.
  • Boots and Bounty 4-H Club is a club that meets in Bath. It covers a variety of topics.
  • Crusaders Shooting Sports 4-H Club meets in Washington. It is a shooting sports-focused club that meets from February/March-October. (ages 8-18)
  • Harmony Homeschool 4-H Club  – meets in Washington.
4-H Clubs rely on adult volunteer leaders to lead the club. If this is something you would be interested in or would like more information on please visit our 4-H Clubs in Beaufort County Webpage .

2. Taking Part in “At-Large” Events
These events can be for children in a 4-H Club or members of the general public that want to be involved but do not live near a club or have specific interests.
To see our full calendar of events please visit the Upcoming 4-H Programs Webpage.
The first step is to register in 4HOnline. This is how we keep up with the necessary paperwork.
