The 2022 Beaufort County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale will be here before you know it!

Show Date: April 5, 2022

Show Location: Coastal Carolina Gin in Terra Ceia (4851 Terra Ceia Rd.)

Registration Deadline: January 15, 2022

Day of Schedule:
8:30 a.m.: Livestock Show Committee Members Arrive
9:30 -10:30 a.m.: Animal Weigh-In
11:00 a.m.: Show Starts (Costume Class -> Pig Classes  -> Lamb Classes -> Goat Classes -> Rookie Class)
4:30 p.m.: Awards Ceremony Begins
5:00 p.m.: Dinner
6:30 p.m.: Auction

Requirements:

A Parent/Guardian must attend a parent information meeting at the Cooperative Extension Office located at 155 Airport Road in Washington if this is their first or second year showing livestock in Beaufort County.

Parent Information Meetings:

  • 1/20/2021 @ 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • 1/22/2021 @ 9-10 a.m.

Children must attend an animal care/showmanship clinic until their fourth year in competitive level showmanship. Options for showmanship clinics:

  • Sunday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. at HOPE Farms & Learning Center (872 Briley Rd. Greenville, NC) – Goats & Pigs
  • Saturday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Bath Creek Stables (241 Stell Rd, Bath, NC) – Goats & Lambs
  • Saturday, February 19 at 9 a.m. at Kinston Livestock Arena (1791 NC-55, Kinston, NC) – Goats & Lambs. Registration is required ahead of time. Please view this website for more information.

Please review our Beaufort County 4-H Livestock Show Rules & Regulations

Participants will be required to fill out a Livestock Animal Book. These books along with Thank You Notes to the “buyers” of their animal will be due to the Extension Office by May 6, 2022. Money collected from the show will be sent out after these have been turned in.
