Beaufort County 4-H will be hosting IN PERSON summer fun programs this year!
COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC, North Carolina, and NC State University will be followed at all of the summer day camps.
Registration this year will be on 4-H Online – once you have your family profile, you should be able to see the camp offerings for your child’s age group on the Member List tab and be able to register from there.
After you submit a registration, you will get either a confirmation email or an email telling you that you are on the waiting list from the Beaufort County 4-H agent.
4-H Age is the age of the child on January 1 of the current year.
Registration opens on May 6 and closes on May 21 for all camps.
Payments can be made by cash or check made out to the Beaufort County 4-H Fund.
4-H Critter Camp – Date: June 1–3. 4-H Age Range: 5-7. Cost: $60.
Learn about different critters that live across Eastern North Carolina! The camp will be held from 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. each day. Drop off/pick up will be at Goose Creek State Park Visitor Center. A snack will be provided. The maximum class size is 8, then children will be added to the waitlist. Registration is through 4HOnline.
4-H Camp Wannagoma! – Date: June 8–10. 4-H Age Range: 8-12. Cost: $60.
Love being outside? We will be hiking and exploring environmental science at Goose Creek State Park. The camp will take place from 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. each day. Fee $60. Pick-up/drop-off will be at Goose Creek State Park Visitor Center. The maximum class size is 12, then children will be added to the waitlist. A snack will be provided. Registration is through 4HOnline.
4-H gARTen Camp – Date: June 23–24. 4-H Age Range: 5-7. Cost $40.
REGISTRATION FULL – all new registrations will be put on a waiting list.
Learn all about art and gardening with 4-H gARTen day camp! This camp will be held at the Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Office. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. each day. A snack will be provided. The maximum class size is 8, then children will be added to the waitlist. Registration is through 4HOnline.
4-H Cooking 201 – Date: June 29–July 1. 4-H Age Range: 13-15. Cost: $60.
Youth will expand their knowledge on food safety, learn the science behind food preparation and the nutritional contribution of the different food groups. Students will also learn about hospitality and foodservice. The camp will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Beaufort County office from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. each day. The maximum class size is 10, then children will be added to the waitlist. Lunch will be provided. Registration is through 4-H Online.
4-H Cooking 101 – Date: July 13–15. 4-H Age Range: 10-12. Cost: $60.
Description: Explore the basics of kitchen and food safety, food preparation, and nutrition with 4-H Cooking 101. The camp will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Beaufort County office from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. each day. The maximum class size is 10, then children will be added to the waitlist. Lunch will be provided. Registration is through 4-H Online.
