Extension Master Food Volunteer Program Interest Meeting

The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Beaufort County Center, is seeking community members to volunteer in the Extension Master Food Volunteer Program. The Extension Master Food Volunteer (EMFV) Program is designed to provide volunteers the opportunity to support Family and Consumer Sciences Agents with food-related programming.

Volunteers will receive a core curriculum of training and will then shadow the Family and Consumer Sciences agent during their first year. Training includes topics related to cooking, nutrition, food safety, and food systems. Volunteers will be able to provide support to the Family and Consumer Sciences agent’s food-related programming.

There will be an interest meeting at the Beaufort County Agricultural Center Auditorium on Tuesday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. For more information on the program or to sign up for the interest meeting, contact Renee Harvey at 252-946-0111 or renee_harvey@ncsu.edu.
